How do I diversify my 401k? in theses very bad economic situation - I am 49 years old.? I just need a couple to keep things simple. I have current FFFCX & FCNTX (AER fill these)?
Get professional help. You save big money if you do it properly - and losing tons if you do it wrong.
You may not be able to diversify and one or two funds, but funds give you the freedom to choose about 10 under the same name. The two you have chosen in particular, are "curious" - a very conservative portfolio based on the time and a risky game. Why?
Will you retire in the next 5 years? If not, do not panic. You have time to recover. Stay the course, continue to feed your 401k as much as you can. Stick with freedom in 2010, do not move your Contrafund but do not feed either.
And go see a financial planner, pay $ 2,000 and get some peace of mind!
