Fund Prices

Fund PricesWhen prices are down 401K fund have the right to continue to put money in?

I have a target retirement fund for all my money is 401K and at that time. If I continue to add money should you buy more shares of this kind, when the price goes, I do better?

Contribution Limits for 2008 are $ 15.500 for less than 50 years
and $ 20.500 for 50 years and over.

Increase your contribution as much as you can afford.
However, you need at least 6 months of monthly expenses including loan repayments recorded cash before putting more money in your 401K.
In my opinion, the stock market will remain low for the next 3 years due to the stagflation caused by the oil crisis. So you have the time to gradually increase your contributions if you can not immediately increase the maximum.

It is never a bad idea to continue contributing to your 401k. If you feel so nervous about the economy or stock market, keep stocks under 40% of your portfolio. Try to diversify your investments across a broad class of shares and bonds. Oh, and do not buy shares of the company offered by your employer, if the company collapsed, your savings will be erased.

If you already have money in, then "low stock" 8 ^ (

If you are looking to save money again, then "Stocks are on sale" 8 ^)

It's always a great time to contribute to your 401K. Stocks are on sale now, you get more shares for a dollar. But keep slow and steady.

In 5 years you'll be very proud of you! Continue to add regularly !!!!!!
