Gold Engagement Rings

Gold Engagement RingsDo Scott Kay 19K white gold engagement rings require rhodium?

A jeweler I spoke to said they like white gold, but others said that another jeweler the alloying element gives the white rather than a layer of rhodium such that n has never needed to be re-coated. Does anyone have one of these rings? Or an idea that jeweler is correct?

The jeweler can speak of a platinum plating on white gold. Very rare and expensive.

Why not start with 950 Platinum? It is hypoallergenic and does not require a polishing from time to time to get shiny.

I've never heard of white gold plating for use in jewelry.

That said, anything is possible. Here is a link that goes in depth on the standards of white gold.

Good luck!
