Do Republicans support this political platform? Possible platform for the Republican Party in 2010 U.S.
The program of the U.S. Republican Party is a program for post-Obama 21st century. The leaders of the Republican minority in the House and Senate to reject the establishment of any new spending, stimulation and health care programs that have been made by the Obama administration. With the freedoms enshrined in the Constitution of the United States, we can continue to express our dissatisfaction with the Democratic platform of 2008 and the agenda.
1. We demand stimulating the economy of the United States to the state / local and individual level, not at the federal level in Washington, DC. To facilitate this, we require that federal tax cuts supported by the elimination of federal grants to state / local governments. In return, we require these funds and not be imposed by states or municipalities.
2. We demand a level playing field for U.S. workers against workers overseas, changing the labor laws of the United States where detrimental to the American worker.
3. We demand necessary and proactive U.S. military and internal security measures to thwart terrorist activities in the country whenever possible, which may include the use of detention centers for suspected terrorists (NOTE: The inmates receive a humane treatment and activities will be closely monitored by several different independent authorities).
4. We require more stringent measures to prevent illegal immigration across U.S. borders, and a solution for treating illegal immigrants force that is less severe than expulsion, but not as forgiving as the granting of amnesty.
5. We propose a tax credit to help employers who provide employment to 95% of employees are citizens of the United States.
6. For large companies, we will exclude cash dividends and stock dividends from taxable income, providing an incentive for employers and employees to choose to pay / receive shares of corporate profits instead of wages and salaries. These conditions should be negotiated between the employee and the employer.
7. We require changes in the tax plans provided by the employer pension.
8. We demand the same level of surveillance for government sponsored financial institutions (ie Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) to that of private financial firms.
9. We demand a restructuring of the K-12 education to integrate the requirements of practical skillsets necessary for a 21st century economy (economics, health, basic accounting, how to balance a budget, computer skills, how to prepare for an interview, entrepreneurship ideas, internships for high school students in 12th). However, we would not stop all the topics previously taught. One option would be complementary institutions privatized covering these additional topics funded school vouchers administered state by state or county by county.
10. Simplifying the tax code the United States to eliminate the alternative minimum tax, eliminating the 5 programs of government that is inefficient, and impose national sales tax to replace portions of the federal tax income.
Here we go again! The Republicans say this every time just to go back "and they are.
