Senior Financial Planning

Senior Financial PlanningCareer as a financial planner? I'm looking for advice on a career as a financial planner.?

I have extensive experience in taxation and accounting. I worked for an accounting firm for about 4 years. I have a BA in accounting. I am interested in tax and personal financial planning my last year of college. I really want to help people manage their finances and savings, that is where my heart is. My only problem is that I do not really want to be a seller. I suppose I should if it is a necessary evil. Also I read on the right advisers only. Can someone please give me more insight into financial advice to the extent that it really involves?

The U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics
Occupational Outlook Handbook is an excellent resource for information on specific jobs.

Here is information on financial analysts and personal financial advisors http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos259.htm
