Solid Earnings

Solid EarningsWhy a company loses share price on solid earnings growth and projected growth?

Clearly, these companies make profit! Why is their stock price does not share?

Any number of reasons. Maybe the company is in an area that is not good and its price is constrained by that. Maybe they just hired a new CEO that many investors do not like. Maybe the price was too inflated before, and the latest forecast, while good, are not as good as the previous forecast. The bottom line is that these are only two indicators of the value of a company.

The only thing that moves a stock price - buyers. Alcan You have the largest airline in the world with the greatest product since slice bread and nobody wants to buy the company, the stock price will rise as a rock.
For this reason, is why professional investors and / or a trader or will consider two major factors on a company
1-the "fundamentals" - the sales figures, financial ratios and profit margins etc.
2 - Techniques - What is the table showing price - following a trend (up or down) - price relationship to the moving averages, etc.
Also of consideration is also given to the sector in which the enterprise is located, the market where it is traded.

Hello, Skahh,

All stocks are subject to so-called market risk "or" systemic risk ".

The rising tide lifts all boats - and a tidal shift makes all the boats with it, to some extent.

The U.S. stock market is bad right now because many large financial institutions has made many stupid loans (when will they ever learn?)

Many large institutions and individuals large sums of money are now in great difficulty.

That periods of great difficulty for all classes of shares, even those with solid earnings growth and projected growth.

Yes, some stocks are rising in price - but they are rising, even if we were not a market back.

What you do is you now.

Remember this - no one knows the future. Your stock may soon reach new heights. . . or maybe the market (and your inventory) will plant a lot of time. Or maybe it'll stay stuck in this range for two or three years.

Nobody knows. Nobody.

My bias is to invest only for income, then I would say that it is best to cut your losses and use all the money you can get back from this mistake of buying stocks of good dividends, which are being cheap right now.

Then keep them forever, regardless of where the market price goes.

But it's just me.

for the average investor expectations are everything. but for the professional investor, a research project goes much further than it. They could have won, but many predictions at the same time, they may not have something new out anytime soon or a new competitor with a better product comes out at the end of the quarter.
