money market accounts and not all are all different kinds of bonds? These are my two questions ... Please list ALL (or at least all major) types of bonds. I know a little.
Municipal bonds
Treasury bonds
Corporate bonds
What others are there and what is a bond? I think they arent right FDIC insured?
Please be specific alittle to the second question, thanks!
I cannot name a money market account that has never failed and most of them are FDIC insured, but not all as read. You must watch the interest rates go up and down so if you could get screwed when your rate Plummer.
Municipal bonds are bonds with your state government. Treasury bonds go to federal and corporate bongs go to large corporations.
There is another type called Ginnie Maes, which goes to mortgage lenders.
A bond is a loan made to the organizations listed below who have laid down specific terms. They are not FDIC insured, because if the company you lend money to go here and can not pay you while you are out of money. The bonds are boring and you should invest in equities through mutual funds.
